What to Wear: Back to School
For some it has started already and others will soon begin the new school season. Butterfly in your stomach, sweaty palms, ... yep the first day is always kinda nerve wrecking but afterwards when we think about it, it always goes pretty smooth. Talking to your school friends you haven't seen during the Summer, discovering which new teacher your gonna have, all those things make that day pass so fast.
One thing that many teens wonder is what they should wear on the first day of school. For some young women it's really their first first day so you wanna make a good impression. Plus knowing you look good will help you exude self confidence and help you feel comfortable in your own skin.
Back to School Fashion is major and here are some things to remember
- Wear something you feel comfortable in. Don't try to wear something just to impress others if you don't feel good in it, because that will make you look insecure.
- If your not sure what the fashion style is at your (new) school pick some basic items like a clean shirt and jeans and give it a jazzy touch with some accesories. It's basic enough so that you don't stand out in the crowd and 'formal' enough so that you don't feel left out. Plus you can really distinct your personal style with the accesories you use.
Think of earrings, necklaces, hats, belts, bags, etc
- Choose flats instead of heels. Even celebs are opting for flats and are ditching their Louboutin shoes. Well, not always but often :)
The new Kani Ladies collection offers many items that will make a girl look glam on the first day of school. With a trendy and hip new fall winter collection, Kani Ladies offers many basic items and showstoppers that will make you stand out in the crowd.

Lyrics Beyonce - Halo
Halo Lyrics
Songwriters: Bogart, Evan Kidd; Knowles, Beyonce Gisselle; Tedder, Ryan Benjamin;
Remember those walls I built
Well, baby they're tumbling down
And they didn't even put up a fight
They didn't even make up a sound
I found a way to let you in
But I never really had a doubt
Standing in the light of your halo
I got my angel now
It's like I've been awakened
Every rule I had you breakin'
It's the risk that I'm takin'
I ain't never gonna shut you out
Everywhere I'm looking now
I'm surrounded by your embrace
Baby I can see your halo
You know you're my saving grace
You're everything I need and more
It's written all over your face
Baby I can feel your halo
Pray it won't fade away
I can feel your halo halo halo
I can see your halo halo halo
I can feel your halo halo halo
I can see your halo halo halo
Hit me like a ray of sun
Burning through my darkest night
You're the only one that I want
Think I'm addicted to your light
I swore I'd never fall again
But this don't even feel like falling
Gravity can't forget
To pull me back to the ground again
Feels like I've been awakened
Every rule I had you breakin'
The risk that I'm takin'
I'm never gonna shut you out
Everywhere I'm looking now
I'm surrounded by your embrace
Baby I can see your halo
You know you're my saving grace
You're everything I need and more
It's written all over your face
Baby I can feel your halo
Pray it won't fade away
I can feel your halo halo halo
I can see your halo halo halo
I can feel your halo halo halo
I can see your halo halo halo
I can feel your halo halo halo
I can see your halo halo halo
I can feel your halo halo halo
I can see your halo halo halo
Halo, halo
Everywhere I'm looking now
I'm surrounded by your embrace
Baby I can see your halo
You know you're my saving grace
You're everything I need and more
It's written all over your face
Baby I can feel your halo
Pray it won't fade away
I can feel your halo halo halo
I can see your halo halo halo
I can feel your halo halo halo
I can see your halo halo halo
I can feel your halo halo halo
I can see your halo halo halo
I can feel your halo halo halo
I can see your halo halo halo
Chris Brown sentenced in LA for assault

Disgraced R&B star Chris Brown was sentenced to five years' probation and 180 days of community labor on Tuesday for beating up his then-girlfriend, pop singer Rihanna.
The sentencing by a Los Angeles judge followed a plea deal. Brown, 20, pleaded guilty to assault on June 22. As part of his sentence, he must also complete a one-year domestic violence counseling program.
He assaulted Rihanna during an argument that began in the small hours of February 8, while the couple were in a rented Lamborghini. The incident left the 21-year-old starlet bloodied and bruised, and sparked an outcry from groups that offer support and services to victims of domestic abuse.
Brown formally apologized last month, calling the incident "unacceptable, 100 percent," and asking for forgiveness.
He was originally supposed to be sentenced earlier this month, but Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg gave court officials more time to ensure that Brown's punishment would involve physical work.
Brown will be able to perform his community labor -- meaning highway cleanup, litter removal or other work -- in Virginia, where he lives. He will also be allowed to attend a domestic violence counseling program in that state.
As part of the sentence, Schnegg also ordered Brown to stay at least 100 yards away from Rihanna, unless they are both attending an entertainment industry function, when the restriction would be lowered to 10 yards.
"Any violation of this protective order is a violation of your probation," Schnegg told Brown, who said he understood.
Schnegg also warned him that he could serve time behind bars if he violates any term of his probation.
The sentence "does come with a potential of state prison if you should violate in any way," she added.
